“Amitabha. Huaien, what on earth is the matter?” the abbot asked again in a grave voice, stroking his white beard. “It's those little demons at our school. What a shame!”
“You have them around you too?” The abbot froze for a moment, then exclaimed in surprise. They really were kindred spirits. Even their troubles were uncannily alike. Principal Wang could understand exactly how the abbot felt.
“May I ask, Senior Brother, which one in your temple you mean?” The principal couldn't help being curious. Could a quiet temple like this really have someone like the troublemakers at his school?
The abbot said nothing, simply gazing into the distance. As a monk, after running along the path of being a man for so many years, he had only now discovered that he was actually a woman. Why was life so hard?
Benefactor, forgive me. This monk has been discourteous!
