"A Brief History of Chinese Philosophy", formerly known as "Outline of the History of Chinese Philosophy", is divided into 12 chapters. It uses characters as a context to systematically discuss the historical evolution of philosophical thoughts from Laozi to Han Fei. It is a monograph on pre-Qin philosophical thoughts. The book was scheduled to be written in July 1918 and published by the Shanghai Commercial Press in February 1919 (only the first volume). Once published, it immediately caused a sensation and was reprinted many times. "A Brief History of Chinese Philosophy" is the author's famous work, and it is still a very influential and worth-read classic work on the history of ancient Chinese philosophy.

Listening to books and reading, the illiterate people in the new era don't ask for detailed explanations but just listen to the philosophical thoughts of famous people!
Mr. Hu Shi is a true scholar. After reading it, I benefited a lot. It helped me eliminate some misconceptions.
