Wei Linglong was an orphan living under her uncle's roof. A heavy snowfall and a pursuit over missing silver in the fourth year of Hongdao brought her together with Liu Ye, a prince of the imperial court, and turned her once peaceful life upside down. Liu Ye was known to the world as a cold-faced prince, yet he was more loyal and compassionate than anyone. He quietly sold his most valuable estate to repay the court's debts on behalf of officials, sparing their families from sleeping on the streets. When the court faced trouble, he did everything he could to help. Little did he know that he had long been a thorn in the side of the one seated in the Golden Throne Hall, with danger lurking at every turn. Though she and Liu Ye understood each other's hearts, they were forced apart for one reason after another. In the end... can they find their way back to each other?
This book is really good. I read this book from The Legend of Concubine Xi and the Legend of Concubine Wan. The female protagonists of the books all have a growth line. I just read Chapter 196. I feel that at least in the early stage, the heroine's IQ is not too stable. She is a little clever when there is no male protagonist. When she meets the male protagonist, she becomes smarter. I hope it will be better later.
From Concubine Xi to this novel, I really love novels with great explanations.
