A year ago, Qi Zijin, the hugely popular and universally acclaimed Best Actress, suddenly retired from show business and married into the Mo family, becoming the wealthy socialite everyone envied.
What no one knew was that Mo Jinhan had always loved someone else. Qi Zijin had forced him to marry her by getting a kidney that was a match for his.
She was unhappy after the wedding. Worse, Mo Jinhan wrongly believed she had killed the woman he loved. He tied her to a horse and dragged her around the grounds.
He said, “Qi Zijin, of all the things you shouldn't have done, the worst was killing Jiang Ai!”
He forced her to kneel before Jiang Ai's grave all night. The next day, he had her artificially inseminated against her will, then threw her into a psychiatric hospital and left her to fend for herself.
Eight months later, Qi Zijin escaped. She went into labor in the pouring rain and met Qin Beicheng.
He delivered her baby and saved her from disaster. She thought she had finally found warmth again, but she never imagined it was all a trap...
