"Pediatric Medicine Zhijue" is a monograph on traditional Chinese medicine in pediatrics. It was compiled by Yan Xiaozhong, a disciple of Qian Yi in the Northern Song Dynasty, who collected his clinical experience. It was written in the first year of Xuanhe in the Song Dynasty (1119 AD). The book is divided into three volumes: the first, middle and second volumes. The first volume is dedicated to the pulse, causes, syndromes and treatments of children, and contains more than 80 items on common pediatric diseases, syndromes and treatments. The middle volume contains 23 typical medical cases, and the second volume contains 124 prescriptions. The treatment in the book always follows the physiological and pathological characteristics of "children's internal organs are weak, prone to deficiency and excess, prone to cold and heat". The prescriptions are appropriate in cold and warm, and use both tonic and diarrhea to strengthen the body and eliminate evil, and are based on soft nourishing the internal organs. Many of these good prescriptions, such as Liuwei Dihuang Pills, Daochi Powder, and Xiebai Powder, are still widely used in clinical practice today.
Reader comments
Why don't you leave a comment? Because it's not easy to label. The author is intentional and it's not easy to copy. Thank you for your hard work. To be honest, ancient people can't understand it, but I want to pretend to understand😛
I especially like the character Qian Yi. He has superb medical skills and is very patient and caring towards his patients. However, I don't like his father who is fond of drinking and traveling. The prescriptions in this book are also worth studying, such as Liuwei Dihuang Pills and Daochi Powder, etc., Which are still used clinically. In short, this is a valuable medical book, recommended to you!
A must-read for pediatricians to take good care of your children!
