Ji Xiaoting never knew love could be so defeating. Even when he offered Song Xiaoyue his bleeding heart with both hands, Song Xiaoyue would not spare it a second glance. He wanted to give him the whole world, but all he got in return was Song Xiaoyue walking away without a backward glance.
Song Xiaoyue had never stopped to ask whether he loved Ji Xiaoting. Love was the most dispensable thing in his life, or so he thought. But sudden moments of vulnerability kept reminding him that someone had already taken up residence in his heart.
This is a story about love at first sight that never quite turned into mutual attraction;
It is also a story about freedom and love, and which one matters more.
Main couple: Ji Xiaoting, a domineering, loyal puppy of a seme who is a bit of a fool; Song Xiaoyue, a seemingly obedient and weak uke who knows love from hate and never lets a grudge go unanswered.
Side couple: Qin Mu, a gentle scion of a prominent family; Song Xiaofeng, an innocent, lively uke with an intellectual disability.
The main couple's story features possessive pursuit, shameless persistence, love and hate, and a second chance after heartbreak. The side couple's story is warm and sweet.
