Are There No Well-Written Stories Anymore? 没什么文笔好的了

Lately, I feel like writers are getting worse and worse at their craft. Their books just aren't as good as those written by authors in the past. Maybe times have changed. So many writers seem completely detached from reality, and their protagonists have no experience of the world at all. I think writers should at least read The Art of Being Thick-Skinned. It's better to make the protagonist a little selfish. Don't make them as pure and naive as a student fresh out of school, like a blank sheet of paper.
