Time has passed in the blink of an eye, and dozens of centuries have passed. There is no longer any green in the world, no large forests, and no vast expanse of plains. Only the white desert that covered the world was left - "a world covered in snow". Occasionally a forest appears, but it is also dead. The sky was a single hue—a deep gray-white. The gray-white color extends in the endless sky until it merges with the snow-white horizon, without a trace of cloud. Heavy snow fell from the sky, as if the tears shed by God in despair of the world turned into ice crystals in the endless deep sky. The snow fell heavier and heavier, accumulating a layer of ice on the ground that never seemed to melt or thicken, just enough to cover one's ankles. Where is this place? Here is "—Earth."
