Seven Demons of the City: Lingyun Temple

The outskirts of H City.

The dilapidated Lingyun Temple.

A new master arrives: a young Taoist named Daoxin.

One morning,

a knock sounds at the temple gate.

The young Taoist Daoxin opens the wooden gate of Lingyun Temple.

Standing outside is a girl named Xiaoling, with trumpet flowers growing from her head and anger written all over her face.

Thunder crashes as the young Taoist Daoxin, who had carved the name Xiaoling onto an immortal register jade slip, is struck by the Great Dao's tribulation lightning until he's burnt to a crisp.

For thousands of years, no one had dared to carve the name of a demon onto that immortal register jade slip. In just a few years, the young Taoist Daoxin has carved seven names onto it.

"Let the thunder strike even harder!" The young Taoist Daoxin had intended to endure the baptism of the Great Dao's tribulation, but then he spotted thick demonic energy in the distance.

So Daoxin mischievously redirected the lightning toward the distance, striking the mountain wreathed in demonic energy.
