Candidate for the Great Dao: The Madman Who Beautifies Himself

After becoming a candidate for the Great Dao,

to win more votes,

Lu Feng begins a series of image-polishing stunts:

He captures the Old Immortal of the Stars and has him endlessly sing his praises throughout the Myriad Worlds.

He brings the Iron-Faced King of Hell to heel and makes him proclaim Lu Feng's upright character.

He creates a fake Tang Monk and has him sing Lu Feng's praises all along the Journey to the West, even secretly rewriting the scriptures they obtain so that every word glorifies and extols Lu Feng.

He deceives the Jade Emperor into praising how diligently and tirelessly he works.

He intimidates the West, making them bow at his feet and dare not defy him in the slightest.

He grafts the Queen Mother's Flat Peach trees so that living beings throughout the Myriad Worlds can share in eternal life.

Thanks to his outrageous schemes, votes for the Great Dao surge like a raging flood.

Until one day, an enraged roar that shakes the Myriad Worlds rings out:

"Who's shamelessly singing his own praises? Get out here!"
