The Worldly Fish Demon: I've Lived from the Primordial Era to the Present

I am Wan Lin, a chaos-loving fish demon and one of the Seven Demon Kings of the Meng River.

I listened to Hongjun preach the Dao and, guided by him, became a demon.

I received gifts from the Three Pure Ones, gained the Dao's blessing, and became a Houtian Sage.

I drank Laozi's wine and tasted Tongtian's tea.

I knew Fuxi and Nuwa, and swore brotherhood with Kunpeng and Yinglong.

I sealed myself away because I did not want my kind to slaughter one another.

The Primordial Era would eventually decline, replaced by a flourishing new civilization.

The cosmos turns, stars shift, and each civilization gives way to the next.

For the sake of one bottle of my spirit liquid, the City God grabbed the Land God by the throat.

I do not want to disrupt the order of the human world.

But I must have a procession of thirty thousand people accompanying me on land.
