I Just Descended from Heaven, and My Immortal Identity Was Exposed by Pang Di

Yan Ning was once a Gate Guardian of the Divine Realm, responsible for watching over the Demon Domain.

One moment of distraction allowed an ancient demon god to escape the Demon Domain.

He pursued the demon god to Earth and discovered that it was the world he had once visited while honing his heart in the mortal realm.

Due to the barrier imposed by the Heavenly Dao, he could not descend in his true form. He could only occupy the body of one of his disciple's descendants with his divine soul and descend into this world.

That descendant had an unfulfilled wish, so he took care of it along the way.

He had taken many disciples in this world.

But he had taught most of them on a whim, and had forgotten some of their names.

A thousand years had also passed since his last descent.

There were probably only a few of them still alive.

He remembered one disciple he had taken, named Sun Wukong!
