Buddhism speaks of taking refuge in three things: the Buddha, the Dharma, and the Sangha. Taoism, too, teaches that humanity follows the earth, the earth follows heaven, heaven follows the Tao, and the Tao follows nature. Where does this endless mortal world lead? Where does the body belong? How can one know which self is truly oneself? If there is a law in this world, I would seek it so that all beings may enjoy peace. If there are demons and evils in this world, I would make my thoughts a blade and cut down every injustice. If there is true affection in this world, I would regard it as an illusory bubble and prove that I am myself.
