The Real World Is Ruined

I've been watching Lord of Mysteries these past few days, and I suddenly came up with an incredibly good idea, so I wanted to write about it. It is written about an imaginary city, similar to Japan around 1990. Because it is about the real world, there is no extraordinary power. I designed an unparalleled golden finger for the protagonist. If I guess correctly, no one has written it before. But I don't know if this is a good way to express it. I plan to write the first few chapters using a movie-like cutting technique, but I don't know if it has that kind of expressiveness.
