After My Master Ascended, I Used an Immortal Sword to Guard the World

"Disciple, your master is about to ascend. I leave you in charge of guarding the mortal world."

"What? You want me to guard the mortal world?"

Ye Chen was dumbfounded. He was only at the Golden Core realm, for crying out loud. Please, try acting like a person.

But his master didn't care at all. He left behind seven immortal swords, then ascended straight to immortality.

Ye Chen looked at the swords his master had left behind: the Ice Soul Sword, the Dark Gold Sword, the Blazing Sun Sword, the Skywood Sword, the Burial Mountain Sword, the Thunderclap Sword, and the Wind Whisper Sword. He was completely dumbstruck.

Without his powerful master's protection, how was he supposed to survive on this continent?

Then one day, a Nascent Soul tree demon broke into the Taoist temple where he lived. Ye Chen offered up the Skywood Sword and slew it with a single strike. Only then did he discover, to his delight:

His Golden Core was actually this powerful?
