Investiture of the Gods Fanfiction

King Zhou went to offer incense at the Nüwa Temple. Struck by the beauty of the goddess's statue, he wrote a blasphemous poem. Angered by his disrespect, Nüwa arranged for King Zhou to demand Su Daji, the daughter of Su Hu, Marquis of Jizhou, as his concubine. Su Hu escorted her to the Enzhou Post Station, where a fox spirit killed Daji, took over her body, and entered the palace, winning the king's favor. King Zhou sank into wine and women, neglecting the affairs of state. At Daji's urging, he also established the cruel punishment of roasting people alive and built a pit of poisonous scorpions, killing ministers at will and abusing palace attendants. Empress Jiang was deposed and cruelly blinded. The crown prince Yin Jiao and his younger brother Yin Hong escaped from Chaoge. Chancellor Shang Rong died after remonstrating with the king. The Eastern and Southern Lords were killed despite their innocence. Xibo Hou Ji Chang was imprisoned in Youli for seven years, and his son Bo Yikao was killed by Daji. Daji also slandered the king's uncle, Prime Minister Bigan, leading to his heart being cut out and his death, among other atrocities.
