Love in the Courtyard: A Beijing Lad

Ye Yu becomes a proper Beijing man from Love in the Courtyard and moves into the courtyard.

Qin Huairu was widowed at a young age and came over every day to mend his clothes. "Xiao Yu, I made you a pair of insoles. Try them on."

Silly Zhu was always asking him for advice. "Brother Yu, how come your cooking tastes so good? Teach me, will you?"

Lou Xiao'e often asked him with red-rimmed eyes, "Brother Yu, do you look down on me because I'm divorced?"

Qin Jingru was always waiting outside his door. "Brother Yu, it doesn't matter who you go on a date with. Why not give me a chance?"

Ye Yu sighed. What a maddening courtyard full of beasts!
