A Long and Happy Life

The Eleventh Princess is a fool, with a child's mind. She loves candy most of all and idolizes her elder sister.

Her elder sister is the gentlest and most dignified woman in the world, peerlessly beautiful, clever, and exceptionally wise. Even after marrying far away, she remains imposing and noble, and every one of her admirers is a remarkable man.

When her sister moves to a distant land, the little fool follows close behind. But the little fool is fated to be used and discarded like any ordinary person.

She does everything she can to help her sister in this foreign land, remaining utterly loyal, because her sister is destined to accomplish great things...

This is probably the sort of minor cannon-fodder character found in many stories about female leads. She serves to advance the plot, highlight the heroine's seemingly pure and innocent nature, and prove useful at a crucial moment by helping the heroine without hesitation. In the end, she sacrifices herself, contributing greatly to the heroine's descent into darkness.

A tribute to all those minor cannon-fodder characters who play supporting roles.

They have lives of their own, too, even if those lives aren't very exciting or particularly dramatic...

A scheming big bad wolf and a timid little chubby bunny.
