Great Tang: I've Come Clean, I'm an Immortal

After transmigrating to the Tang Dynasty, Gu Li was stuck in a rundown Taoist temple, living with a little girl, while passing the time chatting about the world with a merchant called Old Li.

A year later, he received a boost from the System. His first mission was to stop Li Shimin from performing the Fengshan ceremony on Mount Tai. With no other choice, he flew a fighter jet to Mount Tai, where he discovered that Old Li was actually Li Shimin. Li Shimin, in turn, mistook him for an immortal riding a Kunpeng down from the heavens.

Later, a pistol was mistaken for the peerless martial art One Yang Finger; a motorcycle was mistaken for a divine beast from the Classic of Mountains and Seas; an atomic bomb was mistaken for a dragon emerging from its lair... From the top to the bottom, the Tang Dynasty plunged into a grand age of searching for immortals, while Gu Li, the one who started it all, stayed in his Taoist temple day after day, never once going down the mountain.

Only when Li Shimin's life was in danger during his eastern campaign against Goguryeo did Gu Li descend the mountain with an aircraft carrier. Then he quietly told Li Shimin, "Old Li, I'll come clean. I'm the immortal you've been searching for all this time."
