Draw a Prison Around Yourself

A short story set in the Republic of China era, told in the first person.

For generations, whenever twins were born into our family, the elder brother was raised as the sole heir, while the younger brother became his shadow, devoting his life to protecting him.

When it came to my generation, my elder brother was getting married, so I ran away.

Or at least, I thought I had escaped.

But in the end, none of us could escape this vast cage.
