King of Chu: The Elegy of Li Sao

A historical biographical novel set in the Spring and Autumn period. Chu began as a fiefdom of fifty li, granted to a viscount. Generation after generation, its rulers endured hardship and blazed new trails, until it became the largest state in the realm. They admired the culture of the Central Plains, yet also absorbed the civilizations of foreign lands, creating the romantic and resplendent culture of Chu.
