Just Hear Me Out: I've Been to This Hell Before

When Lin Xuan woke up, he discovered he was already dead.

Cold, so cold. He wanted to look back, but all he could see were countless flowers in bloom.

The flowers bloom on the other shore, beyond the reach of the living.

Lin Xuan walked alone along the Yellow Springs Road, crossed the River Nai and passed Wangchuan. Everywhere he looked, all was white.

There was no Granny Meng's soup, no Judge's brush,

no iron chains wielded by Ox-Head and Horse-Face, no long tongues and clubs of the Black and White Impermanence,

not even a single ghost. There was only endless, bone-deep cold, and a blood-red moon in the sky.

Lin Xuan looked around in confusion.

Where were the ghosts?

Hell was empty, and the evil spirits were nowhere to be found.

As he struggled to run toward that patch of light,

darkness descended.

He raised his head, looked below the light, and slowly closed his eyes.

So you were all here.
