The story is set in the Tang Dynasty. The heroine, Gui Hua, was born in a small restaurant at the foot of Chang'an. Growing up surrounded by cooking, she became an exceptionally skilled young chef in her teens, renowned far and wide. One day, two men suddenly entered her peaceful life. One was Prince Wei Yuan, stern and taciturn on the surface but warmhearted and kind within. The other was Yang Feng, a free-spirited hero who loved standing up for the wronged and punishing the wicked. After going through many trials, Gui Hua grew and learned a great deal, and ultimately made her own choice.
