The Deer Child

A couple are driving on a trip with their six-month-old baby when a pair of elk suddenly dash across the road, sending their car tumbling down a hillside. The couple die on the spot, leaving only their wailing baby behind. The elk couple decide to return the child to her relatives, so the two elk transform into human form and take the baby into the human world. Amid a tangle of guilt and hatred, a bond of family slowly forms between humans and elk, transcending species.
