Detective: Starting with Infernal Affairs

Synopsis

Before being reborn, He Zhang worked undercover in Kos City, spending 15 years infiltrating a criminal gang. But when the time came to arrest the gang boss, someone from the police force shot him. Was it an accident?

After an unexpected rebirth, He Zhang wakes up and unexpectedly activates a System, obtaining all sorts of surprising items. His identity has become that of a bona fide police officer. Seconded to Huailiang City, he takes part in investigating several cases. Just when he thinks he has simply been reborn, his former-life contact, Lao Cai, gets in touch with him.

It turns out that after being reborn, he is still following the course of his original life. Lao Cai arranged his secondment because a shadowy force has appeared within the police department, targeting capable officers. Many of the officers under Lao Cai have been secretly harmed. He Zhang decides to uncover the truth and clear his name from his previous life.

But because the force is deeply hidden, He Zhang can only investigate cases in Huailiang City while waiting for them to show themselves...
