Journey to the West: I'm Tang Sanzang, and My Pilgrimage Runs from Nine to Five

He transmigrates to the world of Journey to the West and, from the start, finds the Tang emperor leading civil and military officials in a grand procession to escort him out of the city and set him on his journey west.

Just as he is feeling lost, the System activates. Work from nine to five, weekends off, civil servant life: rewards for meeting the requirements.

With countless people watching, Tang Sanzang rides west. But after barely a few miles, he turns around and heads back!!!

Li Er: "Imperial Brother???"

Tang Sanzang: "As the one and only Pilgrim, I work from nine to five and get weekends off. What a coincidence, it's five o'clock. This monk is off work!"

The Tathagata: "The Buddhist faith has it so hard. Why is its rise beset by so many trials!"

The monsters along the western road: "Capturing Tang Sanzang is so hard! We have to watch the time, too. If we go after him after work, that bastard will kill us!"

The immortals' mounts and attendants who came down to earth to freeload on merit: "Whatever you do, don't mess with Tang Sanzang after work. That guy is terrifying!"

I'm no good at writing blurbs. Read the story for yourself.
