The Fate of the Dim Candle

In the far north, in a land locked in ten thousand years of bitter cold, there lived a dragon with dark red scales and a body a thousand li long. When it opened its eyes, day came; when it closed them, night fell. Its breath brought winter, and its exhalation brought summer. With every movement of its limbs, it could summon wind and rain. Its abilities were peerless, its powers vast.

One day, the dragon transformed into a demon and ravaged the people, bathing the land in blood and burying ten million lives beneath scorched earth. Heaven was enraged and sent down ninety-nine thousand nine hundred and ninety-nine bolts of heavenly retribution, destroying its body and scattering its cultivation, yet unable to disperse its primordial spirit.

The dragon's body may be dead, but its soul remains, its spirit endures, and its will lives on.

And so the story begins...
