The Mutated World: Urban Life

The world had once been peaceful and harmonious, but one day, after an upheaval from beyond, events took a turn that could never be undone. The “monsters” that had existed only in fiction and fantasy began appearing one after another before people's eyes.

Gods, demons, monsters, dragons: countless beings that should never have existed in this world appeared in quick succession. The only thing to do was send them back to their own worlds, or kill them.

“Kill them? Easy for you to say. I don't have that kind of power. The most I can do is seal them away. WTF, you've dumped this lousy job on me and won't even pay me a bonus. What? There's workers' compensation? And life insurance? Sounds good! I'll take the job!”

As it happens, the protagonist isn't from this world. He's an “outsider”: human, but not one of this world's humans.
