Showbiz: Starting with Filming Avatar

As a film school graduate who had transmigrated, Xia Yu was confident he would win the bet he had made with his family about making movies.

There was absolutely no way he was going home to inherit the family business.

But after four years of college, his take on A Chinese Odyssey flopped and drew no interest, while his take on Dying to Survive wasn't even approved for release!

With his only options being to go home or have all his financial support cut off, he finally activated the Profligate Director System. The System would lend him money to make movies, with no limit on the amount as long as it was invested in filmmaking.

He could also get 1% of whatever he spent as cash, which he could use however he liked.

If the movie lost money, he didn't have to pay it back. He only had to repay the loan if he made a profit.

The System even provided scripts. Xia Yu took a look, and decided to go straight for the most expensive one: Avatar!

It wasn't that he didn't like money. It's just that going back to work at the company would be exhausting!

Wasn't the glitzy, pleasure-seeking world of showbiz much more appealing?

There was no way he was going home. Let them try to make Avatar flop, too!
