Great Tang: Would You Make a Deal with the Devil?

Li Shimin stroked his beard and sat on the dragon throne with a smile. "My dear ministers, I have something that can spare the people of the Tang Dynasty from famine!"

Wei Zheng frowned, sensing that something was not quite right.

Fang Xuanling was a little bewildered, but still smiled as he listened to Li Shimin continue.

Du Ruhui glanced around before finally asking, "May I ask what Your Majesty is referring to? Why not show it to us and broaden our horizons?"

Li Shimin was so excited that he failed to notice his ministers' strange expressions. He simply pulled out a large potato, but heard none of the cheers he had expected. Looking closely, he saw that all the ministers wore gloomy expressions.

Only the usually carefree Cheng Yaojin suddenly widened his eyes and, panting heavily, broke the silence. "Y-Your Majesty, could it be that you, too, have made a deal with the devil?"

After court, Li Shimin stopped Li Chengqian. "Gao Ming, could it be that you also made a deal with that devil?"
