Darkness

The kingdom I live in is called the Three-Headed Golden Dragon. My name is White Porcelain. I have no surname, only a given name. According to the lords, I am a "savage": a lowborn who has no status, has never seen the world, and lives in the wilderness.

I was born in a place called Bears Roam Here. My mother, on the other hand, was an ordinary low-ranking noblewoman with a name and a family. She met my father at a ball, and under the influence of alcohol, the two of them did something that went beyond friendship.

It wasn't long before my mother discovered she was pregnant. When an abortion proved impossible, she found a remote place to give birth to me so it wouldn't affect her chances of getting married in the future.

According to the old nanny who raised me, when I was born, a black dragon and a golden dragon were seen locked in a furious struggle in the distance, biting and clawing at each other as they roared wildly.
