Great Tang: After Failing the Imperial Exams

Ye Bai transmigrates to the eighth year of the Zhenguan era, and from the start, he's taking the imperial examinations.

The idea of a modern person passing the jinshi exams in the early Tang Dynasty seemed so fantastical that Ye Bai had never even entertained it. So he bought a property and opened a tavern in Chang'an's Pingkang Ward.

Then three customers came to his shop, surnamed Li, Cheng, and Fang.

When the exam results came out, Ye Bai said, "Oh no, I failed."

Li Shimin: "I pulled strings for you and you still failed? I'm holding the exams again just for you."

Ye Bai smiled faintly. "It's so comfortable being a useless nobody with no ambitions. Want to give it a try? I can teach you."

Li Chengqian and Cheng Chusi: "We want to learn! We want to learn! We want to be awesome nobodies like you too!!!"
