I'm Meng Po in the World of the Living

Su Mu works in the city of Modu. Life is hard, and he struggles at the bottom of society, only to end up with cancer.

One rainy night, he comes across a special soup stall. The owner claims to be Meng Po from the mortal world.

In a twist of fate, he trades his "freedom" for the shop.

From then on, he gains Meng Po's abilities in the mortal world. He can sell Meng Po's Soup to certain people, giving them whatever they want, whether money or years of life, and can also take things from them, including the years of life he needs.

Thus, Su Mu begins to defy fate and change his destiny.

Meng Po's Soup is brewed with eight tears as its ingredients: a drop of a mother's parting tears for filial devotion; a drop of lovesick tears for love; a drop of tears of persuasion for freedom; a drop of a relative's tears for familial affection; a drop of tears of regret for remorse; a drop of tears shed over betrayal for friendship; a drop of tears cursing the heavens for self-respect; and a drop of tears of fear of death for longevity.
