Legend has it that in the Underworld there is a road called the Yellow Springs Road, a river called the River of Forgetfulness, and a bridge over the river called the Bridge of Helplessness. Beyond the bridge stands a platform called the Lookout for Home.

Beside the Lookout for Home is a manor called Granny Meng's Manor. Every day, a beautiful woman sells Granny Meng's Soup there.

By the River of Forgetfulness lies a stone called the Three Lives Stone. Granny Meng's Soup makes you forget all your tangled grudges and grievances, while the Three Lives Stone records your past and present lives.

After crossing the Bridge of Helplessness, you take one last look at the mortal world from the Lookout for Home and drink the bowl of Granny Meng's Soup given to you by the woman. All the troubles of your past are washed away, and every grudge is gone...

In the Underworld stands Granny Meng's Manor; a beautiful woman sells tea. Whoever comes and drinks the brew will feel unwell for thirty-five days.

The mortal world of the past is full of turmoil; at the end of the River of Forgetfulness, there is no road home.
