Showbiz: I’m a Hobbyist Director from China

Chinese cinema is no good?

Its special effects get mocked?

Qin Fan will overturn these claims and restore the Chinese film industry’s good name.

After obtaining the Director System, Qin Fan launches a series of Chinese mythological films, giving xianxia and wuxia movies the label of blockbusters.

One myth-inspired film after another, including Legend of the White Snake, Journey to the West, Primordial World, Divine Curtain, and Deceiving Heaven, breaks into the global top 100 box office rankings and claims the number-one spot.

The Chinese Mythology film series replaces Hollywood superhero franchises as the highest-grossing film series.

He shows the world what Chinese special effects and Chinese cinema can do.

From then on,

Only Chinese films can be called blockbusters.

Only homegrown Chinese stars can rightfully be called international superstars.

Buddy: "I never imagined that a minor actor like me, who has never filmed a single movie overseas, would be called an international superstar abroad."

Yang Mi: "An international superstar is a long way off for me..."
