I'm Quite Unnecessary

It seems that ever since this continent came into being, it has belonged to the Dragonfolk. The Yinglong, Zhulong, Molong, Qiulong, and Panlong branches: at some point, the horns and scales of these five Dragonfolk lineages came to signify noble blood and supreme authority. Trees, spirits, and humans alike all depend on the Dragon clans. In every dynasty, the five Dragon clans maintain the ruling lineage's power through a balance of interests. When the throne changes hands, the ruling Dragon clan changes with it.

History marches on, and the Molong branch has once again taken control of the realm. The new dynasty is named Xin. This time, the emperors have placed the realm at the feet of the Molong branch. Emperor Long Yan and the previous ruler have secretly deployed their forces, and the fate of the five Dragon lineages seems all but settled. Yet all Dragonfolk descend from the same root. Surely the other branches have ideas of their own, just like the Molong branch. Born into the Xin dynasty, this realm is destined for turmoil.

But it is hard to say whether this turmoil will involve the five Dragon lineages or the ordinary people of the realm.
