Great Tang: Proposing to Li Er from the Start

A top-tier Tang Dynasty novel from Feilu

Zhang Hua transmigrates to the early Tang Dynasty as the son of Zhang Zhongjian, the Red-Bearded Warrior, and spends his days drifting across the seas.

So he talks his gullible adoptive father into taking the fleet on a few years of sailing all over the world.

He visits Australia to round up kangaroos.

He visits the Amazon in South America to catch llamas.

He brings back seeds of corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, chili peppers, and other plants from South America.

He completes a voyage around the world.

The fleet under his command seizes outposts across Southeast Asia, while his trade ships spread throughout the Indian Ocean...

In the third year of the Zhenguan era, the Red-Bearded Warrior passes away. Tired of drifting at sea, Zhang Hua settles in Wannian County near Chang'an, buys an estate, and takes up a leisurely life as a landowner, tinkering with inventions and growing vegetables...

A year later, he happens to meet Princess Changle, and Zhang Hua falls head over heels for her at first sight…

So he asks Li Er for her hand in marriage.
