I'm a Little High God

As a low-ranking deity from nowhere who rose to a high position after just tens of thousands of years of cultivation, many people think I don't deserve it. Honestly, I don't think I deserve it either. As a high-ranking deity, shouldn't I have at least a little authority?! When the Celestial Emperor summoned everyone to choose their positions, I thought long and hard. I wanted to oversee matchmaking, but Yue Lao said he didn't need any disciples and had no plans to retire. Besides, I didn't understand social niceties, so my request was rejected. I thought for a long time again. I wanted to coast through life and wait for death. But the cycles of karma and reincarnation slowly began to reveal themselves, shattering my quiet, carefree life!
