Great Qin: Come Play Ball with Me

The Qin falls, and the Han rises! The Sui falls, and the Tang rises!

The Han falls, the Tang falls, and then comes another age of division!

The so-called tyrannical Qin and tyrannical Sui may have been guilty in their own times, but their achievements benefited future generations. In the end, they laid the groundwork for the golden ages of the Han and Tang!

Enforcing commandery and county administration, building the Great Wall, and campaigning against foreign tribes: is that tyranny?

Then what about **massacring surrendered troops, burying tens of thousands with the dead, the Rebellion of the Eight Princes, the Five Barbarians ravaging our land, and sending women away in marriage alliances... Our Chinese civilization has faced the threat of annihilation time and again. What do you call all that?

Yan Qing smiles scornfully. “I am willing to wield a sword in my left hand and the law in my right for Your Majesty, achieving great deeds in our time and benefiting all people for generations to come. Once we've conquered the Six Kingdoms, we'll conquer the whole world!”

The First Emperor: “You understand me so well, my dear subject. Come, stand still. I'll have a clay statue made of you first.”
