In Hastan, "*ks" means courageous or brave, and generally refers to a brave man. "Fen" means child, so "Sfen" means boy.

No Hastan person would ever say they are cowardly, and none would admit to being a coward. So even Felix, who is called a "man without courage," has never admitted his cowardice aloud. He even named his child "Sfen*ks," meaning "brave boy."
