Cultural Outreach Begins with Learning Chinese Worldwide

Chen Nian, the youngest professor in history, made a startling statement during a speech: English should no longer be a required subject. It should be an elective, like other foreign languages. Instead, the whole world should learn Chinese, because Chinese would become the most useful language on Earth.

The moment he said it, the whole internet erupted. Everyone thought it was pure fantasy.

And yet:

The world's most advanced operating systems were compiled in Chinese.

The world's best films, TV shows, and novels were available only in Chinese.

The world's most advanced science and technology were taught using Chinese textbooks.

The world's most popular anime and games had only Chinese versions.

Foreigners were driven to despair, and a worldwide craze for learning Chinese took off. Chinese became the universal language.

Chen Nian, the mastermind behind it all, had a famous saying: "You don't have to learn Chinese, but you'll be left behind by the world."
