Donghuang Zhiyong comes from the ancient Yanhuang exorcist clan, the Donghuang family. A childhood mutation left him with little aptitude for Yin-Yang arts, so he went against the grain and studied modern technology instead, with considerable success. He is especially skilled in finance and technology.
Because of his family, Donghuang Zhiyong takes the initiative to travel to the Far East, to Japan.
Please note: The protagonist is neither strong nor weak, but somewhere in the middle. Since the story starts out as an everyday ghost-encounter series, the early parts have a slice-of-life feel, with some crossover elements mixed in.
The first world it crosses over with is Mieruko-chan. It was popular for a while, but is now somewhat obscure. Bilibili recently uploaded a video explaining the series, so if you don't want to read the manga, you can look it up there to get an idea of it.
