I was reborn as an ordinary man. It's a very old trope: someone jumps in to save a person from drowning, except I was the one who got saved.
Then I got bound to some inexplicable System: the Magical Girl Raising System. Cue awkward laughter. Just as I was wondering what was going on, I received a notification from the System.
You have a new message.
The Secret of Little River Village: Mission briefing. This century-old village has an ancient tradition of sacrificing to the River God. Once prosperous, the village declined after a severe drought twenty years ago. Strangely, the drought affected only the area around Little River Village. As the chosen one, go there and uncover the truth.
Mission item: The Water card, a gift from the magical girl Sakura. It represents the water element and is an extremely aggressive Clow Card with a short temper. It can create huge waves and even absorb anything related to water.
Incantation: "Key concealing the powers of darkness, reveal your true form before me..."
