The Moon Over Qin Tower

This story recounts a moving episode from the life of Qin Guan, the famous Northern Song dynasty writer, during his time serving in Caizhou, Henan.

He was Su Shi's prized student and one of the Four Scholars of the Su School.

His most famous ci poem, "The Immortals at the Magpie Bridge," includes the celebrated lines: "If our love can last forever, what does it matter if we meet only morning and night?"

A historical appraisal reads: "Qin Huaihai's elegant charm is gone; the world will be lonely for five hundred years."
