Journey to the West: My Master Plays by His Own Rules

A car accident sends Chen Xuan to the world of Journey to the West.

The kindhearted, devout monk who once devoted himself to Buddhism is gone, replaced by a sanctimonious scoundrel who swindles and cheats his way across the Three Realms.

The Three Sage Emperors: "Kid, just become our disciple, and the Xuanyuan Sword, Fuxi Zither, and Shennong Cauldron will all be yours!"

Zhen Yuanzi: "What? You carved my Ginseng Fruit Tree into beads? Damn it!"

Taishang Laojun: "You bald... holy monk, do you happen to have my treasures, like the Vajra Bracelet and the Purple Gold Gourd?"

Guanyin: "Sanzang, call me big sister one more time and I'll give you a good thrashing!"

The White Bone Spirit, Scorpion Demon, Jade Rabbit Spirit, and all the other female demons cry out, "Eat Tang Monk's flesh? No way! Run!"

From then on, the sentence Tang Sanzang says most often on the journey to obtain the scriptures is, "Wukong, catch your master a demon to play with!"
