From Son-in-Law to Peerless Prince

What kind of standing does a man have after transmigrating into Qi Jiguang's son-in-law?

And what kind of standing does he have after rising from son-in-law to the Prince Who Stands Shoulder to Shoulder with the Emperor of the Great Ming?

"Son-in-law? I already couldn't speak loudly at home, and now that he's here, I don't even dare go back!" Whenever Qi Jiguang talks about this, he flies into a rage, while also thinking wistfully that the army camp is still the best place to be. If only he could head out to fight, that would be even better.

"The Prince Who Stands Shoulder to Shoulder with the Emperor? Do you think I want to share my throne with someone? He holds all the power in the Great Ming. If I don't put him on a pedestal, how am I supposed to keep being emperor?" Whenever the Wanli Emperor talks about Fang Xinming, he weeps bitterly...
