Metal Max was my favorite game as a child. Now I'm turning it into a novel, using the first game's setting and adding my own interpretation, original characters, and main storyline. Of course, I'll also keep some characters from the game, including the familiar Red Wolf. I hope you enjoy it.
In the catastrophe known as the Great Destruction, humanity's civilization teetered on the brink of collapse as people faced all manner of monsters and machines gone out of control. After the Great Destruction ended, humans were no longer the masters of Earth. They became pitiful creatures, scraping by in settlements.
Today, with air supremacy completely lost, the only way to leave a settlement and survive is to rely on humanity's last weapon: battle tanks.
Anyone with a battle tank can become a highly welcome bounty hunter in any settlement. Owning a battle tank is the same as owning wealth and power.
