Wisdom's Light, Witnessed by Pearls and Diamonds

"Dawn, for Pearl."

"Ash, for Diamond."

"Let's bear witness to our bond."

They once believed theirs was the greatest friendship in the world.

But neither had realized that they had both fallen for the other, their feelings taking root deep in their hearts long ago.

"Hey, Ash, you've finally become a Pokémon Master. You've achieved your dream."

"Yeah, and so have you. We've both made our dreams come true."

But deep down, it still felt as if something was missing.

They had achieved their dreams, yet didn't know what to do next.

Ash laughed at himself. He had once been so full of passion, but now he had lost the person he used to be. He felt he needed to hold on to something.

"Ash?"

Dawn's voice brought him back from his distant thoughts.

That's right. It was the girl before him, his Diamond and Pearl.
