Great Tang: The Peerless General

After transmigrating to the Tang dynasty in the ninth year of Wude, just after the Xuanwu Gate Incident and before the Treaty of the Wei River, Chengwei finds that the Turks have already crept up to the outskirts of Jingyang County.

He had only wanted to live a carefree life, taking things easy and tending to his fields. But an unexpected turn of events leaves Chengwei with no choice but to take up the blade and turn it against the Turks.

To kill one is a crime; to slaughter ten thousand is to be a hero. Slay nine million, and you are the greatest hero of all.

The greatest hero of all, following a different path:

I see through the thousand-year renown of benevolence and righteousness, and live boldly in this life.

I care not for a good name, but embrace infamy; I kill a million, and feel no remorse.

Better to have ten thousand gnash their teeth in hatred than to let anyone curse my name.

Look across five thousand years of history: where are the heroes who never killed?

We are men of passion and courage. Could we let the ancients outdo us?

Kill! Kill! Kill!

This blurb doesn't do it justice. Read the story itself. It's largely based on historical facts, and I've consulted many sources.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any similarities are purely coincidental. Do not imitate.
