Detective Conan: Forest of Silence

This novel features extensive psychological and social commentary, and is a literary gem about the protagonist's philosophy of life and fatalism. No explanation needed: just read it carefully.

When someone loses something, from beginning to end, only they know best what it was.

I want to write a story about a group of people who dare to fight against fate and give themselves up for one another, who endure humiliation and hardship as they press on, only to discover in the end that they have sunk into the swamp called fate and can no longer pull themselves free. It is a story of collective growth, of forgiving fate and forgiving themselves.

This novel and its characters are entirely fictional. Any resemblance to real people or events is purely coincidental. Please do not imitate.
